Yearbook Committee’s “Soundtrack for Our Lives” Fails When Speakers Explode
In an ambitious effort to pair senior portraits with personalized theme songs, the Yearbook Committee installed Bluetooth speakers at each photo station–only to have two of them burst into sparks during an Ariana Grande serenade and one drone into the school pond mid-track.
Sophomore tech intern Leo S. confessed, “We underestimated the wattage required for dramatic reveals.” The resulting pop-power outage delayed photo sign-offs by over an hour–and drenched at least five Maxi-pads as impromptu flotation devices.
Administrators have banned live audio gadgets at future signings, mandating that “soundtracks” be delivered via QR code–no speakers, no sparks, and no surprise swimming equipment required.
