Chemistry Lab Hosts “Periodic Table Fashion” Show
In a fusion of science and style, the Chemistry Lab hosted a “Periodic Table Fashion” show. Students designed attire inspired by chemical elements–silver foil for Ag (silver), neon accents for Ne (neon), and flame-patterned prints for S (sulfur).
Models strutted down the lab benches in safety goggles and element-themed accessories. Judges scored creativity, scientific accuracy, and runway confidence. The winner, a uranium-glow barrette ensemble, sashayed to “Radioactive” remixed with bubbling beaker sound effects.
The event raised funds for new lab goggles and taught attendees about element properties–proving that in Maverick halls, chemistry isn’t just experimental, it’s fashionable.
