Classroom Candids Chaos
Bright-eyed Mavericks filled Ms. Caldwell’s English classroom Monday morning, each vying for the perfect “caught reading” candid. Junior Anika Patel struck a pose with a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird, only to sneeze mid-click–sending tissues flying like confetti. Across the room, freshman Danny Nguyen tried to look studious but ended up gazing longingly at the leftover pizza slice on the back table.
In Mr. Smith’s chemistry lab window shot, lab coats fluttered as Bunsen burner flames danced behind stills of bubbling beakers. One snapshot immortalized sophomore Mia Rodriguez’s horrified face when her vinegar-and-baking-soda volcano erupted prematurely–spraying colorful foam across her notebook.
Meanwhile, the AP Statistics group attempted a “data-driven candid,” holding up whiteboards with hastily scribbled regression equations. Their proud smiles dimmed when they realized the camera captured the margin note: “Remember to study for Biology test!” These classroom candids prove that learning at Memorial High is equal parts science, drama, and breakfast pastry distractions.
